Custom Made Orthotics

Orthotics are custom made insoles that help to correct and accommodate biomechanical and physical abnormalities respectively.  When the foot functions biomechanically incorrect, the potential for pain is increased.  Pain may be felt in the feet, knees, hips, and lower back.  The entire lower limb is connected in what is called a kinetic chain, therefore the way the feet function has implications on the rest of the body.   With this in mind, correcting the biomechanical abnormalities within the feet, will help to reduce, if not eliminate pain felt throughout the feet and lower limb.

There are two main types of custom made orthotics, corrective and accommodative.  Upon completion of your initial assessment, our Pedorthist will design an orthotic to best suit your individual needs, keeping in mind your primary complaint, activities, and style of footwear.
